Operation Scholarship The Miami Touchdown Club (MTC) was founded in 1961 with a mission of assisting South Florida High School football players in their efforts of reaching the next educational level through scholarship opportunities. As part of the South Florida Touchdown Club Foundation, a charitable 501c3, OPERATION SCHOLARSHIP was formed to facilitate this purpose. MTC efforts have been effect for over 50 years in various forms. This year (2005) MTC contracted Florida Student Athlete Profile Services to market these players. Our interactive web based platform is being used to facilitate this operation. Florida Student Athlete Profile Services documented over 400 Miami Dade and Monroe County Senior Football players into their searchable platform. The local high school coaches were tasked with identifying only those players, which they believed were eligible to continue at the next level - both academically and athletically. The athletes were tasked with only submitting pertinent personal, academic, and athletic information to provide recruiting coaches an accurate and comprehensive evaluation of a prospect's ability and qualifications Also each high school football coach in Miami Dade and Monroe County received independent, password-protected accounts for their use during the college-recruiting season. This provides a direct link between the college coaches from throughout the nation and our local south Florida high school coaches for balanced, uninterrupted communications at a tremendous cost saving to both parties. All contact information on the profiles is that of the high school coach, the parents, or the player directly. This is the only platform / program available in the nation, which provides this type of convenience and is considered by many as the one stop-shopping vehicle to search for quality student-athletes in South Florida. As a note, MTC provides this service at no cost to high school football athletes and coaches. This platform is fully funded and maintained for the sole purpose of improved communication between high school coaches and the colleges.

Miami-Dade County Public Schools Florida Student Athlete Profile Services is now a certified vendor for the Miami Dade School System. We are now offering a unique, effective, and economic solution to the recruiting puzzle for both athletes and their high school coaches. Our all-inclusive recruiting platform provides them a means to build, manage, and promote the student’s athletic and academic profile to a network of college coaches throughout the nation. This service is being offered at a tremendous cost savings to the schools throughout Miami Dade County. Florida Student Athlete Profile Services is the only approved vendor for this type of professional service. Our whole staff is fully in compliance with the Jessica Lunsford Act. We anticipate high school coaches will use our platform to promote their eligible and talented players throughout the upcoming year.
Puerto Rico Baseball School - International Florida Student Athlete Profile Services has partnered with the Puerto Rico Baseball School International (PRBS) to manage and profile their high quality Puerto Rican, Dominican and Venezuelan college eligible players. The school’s president, Mr. George Ortiz, a former MLB Scout and supervisor for Latin American Development administers the training and conditioning programs at the PRBS. Mr. Ortiz’s keen eye for talent has come from many years of experience as a scout and valuator of recommendations from other top level international scouts. He has scouted for San Francisco, Seattle, Minnesota, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, California, and lastly Cincinnati. A quick synopsis of the PRBS program, Mr Ortiz invest the PRBS limited funds in developing young players recruited from throughout Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and Venezuela. He then immerses them into a pro-level training camp atmosphere for about a year. The development team travels back and forth to the Dominican Republic, (San Pedro de Macoris) to continue their training and develop their skills with other international prospects. The PRBS prospects have regularly competed with players from the Hiroshima's Dominican baseball academy while in San Pedro de Macoris. Our role will be to profile and market the PRBS college eligible players to colleges and universities throughout the nation. A showcase game is being planed for this summer in the US, where Mr. Ortiz will bring 5 to 8 of the players from his academy and showcase them to interested colligate programs.
